The PSO PS-15 STANDARD tyre cutting machine is a French 370 W device designed for regrooving the tread pattern and renewing it after tyre repair. It is used to deepen the tread in tyres of lorries, trailers, vans and off-road vehicles. It can also restore the tread pattern after tyre repair. The outlet has to be grounded and protected with an RCD-30 mA. BLADE FITTING. CUTTING DEPTH Set the switch to the 0 position. Loosen the guides using the provided wrench. Set the blade to the desired cutting depth. Tighten the guide screws. (A quarter turn after touching the blade is sufficient). – The height of the remaining tread pattern should be raised in different areas of the tyre. Cutting depth should be set according to the most worn part of the tyre. In all cases, ensure that there is at least a 2 mm layer of rubber between the bottom of the new tread pattern and the tyre carcass. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions re. regrooving. RETREADING For optimum tread depth: Remove any mud that may be covering the tread Use a pick to remove any stones or nails that may damage the blade. Use appropriate heating level. Blades #1 or #2 – setting 1 or 2, etc. In all cases increase or decrease the heat depending on how fast the blade is moving through the rubber. Keep the blade head clean, which is necessary to ensure good electrical contact. SAFETY MEASURES Do not put your hands in front of the tool during operation.
