Balancing powder is an excellent alternative to standard truck wheel balancing (using weights). The offered balancing powder, HOFMANN Power Weight Type 504, is a polymer granulate that reduces vibrations across the entire circumference of the wheel using moving, two-colored granules that form an innovative solution: FUSION TECHNOLOGY. The secret of this technology lies in the varying sizes of the balancing material. How does it work? The granulate functions by dispersing particles of the product along the walls of the tire during driving due to centrifugal force. The higher the speed, the more the centrifugal force disperses the material within the tire, automatically pushing the granules in the direction opposite to the problematic area, compensating for any vibrations. The product uses particles of different sizes to balance vibrations. The larger red granules concentrate in the center of the tire, dampening static imbalance. The smaller blue granules move outward within the tire, compensating for wobble. This results in a smooth ride throughout the entire lifespan of the tire. Application: The granulate is applied based on the chart included with each bucket, using a measuring cup. As the wheel rotates, the powder moves in the opposite direction, evenly distributing imbalances across the wheel, tire, and brakes. This results in less and more even tire wear.
